Sharing a User Interface

After you have designed a user interface (e.g., form), you can share it with others promptly. Multiple ways are available to do that:

Copying a shareable link to the clipboard allows you to paste and share the link later. This link can be pasted into messages, emails, or other communication channels, allowing recipients to access the shared content directly.

To Copy a Shareable Link to the Clipboard:

  1. On the Lucy app homepage, go to the My Work tab on the left sidebar.

  2. Search and click on the folder you wish to open.

  3. Go to the User Interfaces tab.

  4. Search and select the desired user interface.

  5. Hover over the user interface and click the Edit button that appears. Widget Designer page will be opened.

  6. Click the Share button on the top right.

  7. A shareable link will be displayed in the Link to page box.

  8. Click Copy Link and the link will be copied to your clipboard.

2. Opening the User Interface on a New Page

To Open a User Interface on a Separate Page:

  1. On the Lucy app homepage, go to the My Work tab on the left sidebar.

  2. Search and click on the folder you want to open.

  3. Go to the User Interfaces tab.

  4. Search and select the desired user interface.

  5. Hover over the user interface and click the Edit button that appears. Widget Designer page will be opened.

  6. Click the Share button on the top right.

  7. Click Open Page, and the user interface will open on a new page.

3. Adding the User Interface to a Dashboard/Canvas

Users can add user interfaces to their existing dashboards/canvases for future reference. Additionally, this functionality enables users to customise their dashboards according to their preferences and requirements.

Note: You need to have a dashboard created to add your user interfaces.

To Add the User Interface to an Existing Canvas:

  1. On the Lucy app homepage, go to the My Work tab on the left sidebar.

  2. Search and click on the folder you want to open.

  3. Go to the User Interfaces tab.

  4. Search and select the desired user interface.

  5. Hover over the user interface and click the Edit button that appears. Widget Designer page will be opened.

  6. Click the Share button on the top right.

  7. Select the Canvas which you want to add the user interface from the Add to a canvas list.

  8. Click Add to dashboard.

  9. The selected canvas will open in a separate page with the newly added user interface.

4. Sending the User Interface by Email

To Send the User Interface by Email:

  1. On the Lucy app homepage, go to the My Work tab on the left sidebar.

  2. Search and click on the folder you want to open.

  3. Go to the User Interfaces tab.

  4. Search and select the desired user interface.

  5. Hover over the user interface and click the Edit button that appears. Widget Designer page will be opened.

  6. Click Share button on the top right.

  7. In the Enter some email addresses (comma separated) box, enter the email address of the user(s) who you wish to email the user interface.

  8. Click Share by email. An email will be sent to the respective recipient(s) with a link to the respective user interface.

5. Sending the User Interface as a Push Notification to Lucy Mobile App Users

To Send the User Interface as a Push Notification to Lucy Mobile App Users:

  1. On the Lucy app homepage, go to the My Work tab on the left sidebar.

  2. Search and click on the folder you want to open.

  3. Go to the User Interfaces tab.

  4. Search and select the desired user interface.

  5. Hover over the user interface and click the Edit button that appears. Widget Designer page will be opened.

  6. Click Share button on the top right.

  7. Go to the Send this screen to someone section.

  8. On the Send a message along with the notification box, enter a message to be sent with the notification to the user if necessary.

  9. Click Send a push notification. A push notification will be sent to the respective user’s Lucy mobile app.

Enabling Anonymous Access to a User Interface

Anonymous access enables anyone to view your user interface without providing login credentials.
