Point Configuration

After configuring the Equipment, the next step is to configure Points. This stage is utilized to configure the Points of the Equipment configured in the Equipment Stage by mapping the relevant Point addresses.

To proceed to the Point Configuration stage:

1. First, click the Forward arrows to navigate to the next stage, which is Point Configuration.

2. Under the Subsystem Points section, the Points associated with the Equipment you configured in the previous stage will be displayed.

How to download the SSIF Agent

1. If you need to download and install the SSIF Agent, click the Download SSIF Agent button.

2. Copy and run the relevant command according to your Operating System of your local machine. The SSIF agent will be downloaded, installed and run on your local machine (gateway machine).

Point Configuration

To configure Points:

1. Click the Refresh SSIF Agent List button next to the SSIF Agent drop-down box.

2. SSIF Agent List will be refreshed and updated.

3. Next, you need to select the relevant SSIF Agent to be used to obtain the Points from the network.

4. Click the Discover Points button to initiate the Discovery Points feature to discover the points currently available in the network. This action will scan the network and create a Discovery session with the discovered Points.

5. Once you click the Discover Points button, the Discover Points window will appear. Select the relevant protocol.

6. Click the Discover Points button. A message will pop up to notify that the discovery session is successful.

7. The created Discovery session will be saved in the database and listed under the SSIF-Agent Discovered Sessions drop-down box.

8. Click the Refresh SSIF-Agent Discovered Session List button to update the session list. The latest session will be listed as the last record in the list box.

9. Select the relevant Session from the SSIF-Agent Discovered Sessions drop-down box. Sessions will be named using the date and time that the session was created.

10. Once the relevant SSIF-Agent Discovered Session is selected, the Points will be enabled.

11. Click the icon of the Point you want to configure. The Configure Point window will appear, showing the points exposed in the client’s network. Select the relevant Point address from the list.

12. Next, you need to select the relevant SSIF. Click the Add button . A pop-up window will appear.
13. Enter the Interface ID and select the Driver Type. Click the Create Interface button. A message will appear stating the Interface has been successfully created.

14. Select the configured SSIF and click Update Point.

15. Once the Update Point button is clicked the point address will be mapped and it will be displayed on the window.

16. Configure rest of the points as required by clicking the respective icon. It is not mandatory to configure all the points in the list.

17. After configuring all the points that you need to configure, you can complete the session. To mark the session as completed, click the Complete Session button.

18. After clicking the Complete Session button, the Point Configuration stage will be marked as completed and a green tick will be displayed on the screen to denote that the Session is completed successfully.
