Overview of IBMS Point Configuration Wizard

IBMS Point Configuration (PC) Wizard is built to streamline and simplify Point configuration in iviva. The PC wizard has made the entire process of configuring points in equipment in locations quicker and more efficient.

Previously, configuring points in equipment within iviva required a cumbersome and time-consuming series of steps. Users had to navigate through various apps in iviva, including Location, Asset, and IBMS, just to complete the point configuration process.

Now, users can configure points for equipment using one wizard, eliminating the need to switch between multiple applications. With just a few easy steps, users can effortlessly set up points, saving time and minimizing errors.

IBMS PC wizard allows users to carry out Point configuration of equipment by creating Sessions. A session takes users through six easy steps to configure elements required to complete the entire process. The steps should be carried out as in the same order given below. The six steps in a Session are as follows;

1. Location: To set up the location of the equipment

2. Asset : To set up relevant asset

3. Equipment Template: To configure the relevant equipment template for equipment

4. Zone : To select the relevant zone

5. Equipment: To configure equipment

6. Point Configuration: To configure points in respective equipment

IBMS PC Wizard is integrated with the Point Discovery tool. During the final step of the session, the Point Discovery tool facilitates the discovery of points within the client’s network and then maps them to the equipment configured earlier in the session to complete the Point configuration process.
